Nov 1- National Space Club Scholarship 

Date Available: 9/1
Award Amount: $20,000 (1)
Criteria:

• The applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
• The scholarship is open to seniors in high school through graduate students.
• The applicant must have the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend an accredited U.S. college or university to follow a course of study to pursue a career in the STEM field, with a preference for those with space related interests.
• The applicant can only use the $20,000.00 scholarship towards tuition for the 2025-2026 academic year.
• The applicant must not have previously spoken at the Dr. Robert H. Goddard Memorial Dinner.

Nov 14- Jack Cooke Kent Foundation Scholarship*

Award Amount: "last dollar," up to $55,000 (fills in gap left by institutional financial aid)
Criteria:

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Senior standing – Complete four years of high school in the U.S., a U.S territory, or on a U.S. military base and plan to graduate in spring 2025.
• Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2025.
• GPA – Earn a minimum, cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.75 or above.
• Demonstrate Unmet Financial Need – We will consider applicants with family annual gross income up to $95,000. During the selection process, the Foundation will conduct a full financial review which will take into account all income and assets of the student and the student’s parents.

Dec. 1- Barbara Lotze Scholarship for Future Physics Teachers

Criteria:

• an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited two-year college, four-year college or a university; or a high school senior accepted for such enrollment.
• pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high schools.
• showing promise of success in their studies, and
• a citizen of the United States of America

Dec. 1- Smith College Poetry Prize for High School Girls 

Date Available: 9/1
Award Amount: $500
Criteria:

• The winner & three finalists will read their poems at the judge’s reading on April 8, 2025.
• Submissions accepted: September 1–December 1, 2024. Winners will be announced in March 2025.
• No entry fee. Application form required.
• One poem per student (10th or 11th grade students are eligible)
• Maximum of 25 lines.
• Children of Smith employees are not eligible to enter.
• Winner and finalists of previous years may not re-enter; past semifinalists may re-enter.

Dec. 15- Equitable Excellence Scholarship

Date Available: Oct 2024 (Exact date TBD)
Award Amount: $5,000
Criteria:

• Be a current high school senior that resides in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
• Demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in school, community, or work activities.
• Be willing to provide a release to publicize their identities and information about their plans or achievements along with photographs for use in Program promotion/information.
• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

Dec. 16- Burger King Scholarship

Date Available: Oct 15
Award Amount: $1,000 $5,000, $10,000, $60,000
Criteria:

• Be living in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada
• Be graduating high school seniors (U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam), graduating from grade 12 (Canada) or graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada
• Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent
• Plan to enroll full-time, without interruption, for the entire 2025-26 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school or CEGEP or equivalent in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada

Dec. 16- Science Ambassador Scholarship

Award Amount: $20,000
Criteria:

• Open to all high school & undergraduate students

January 2025 

Jan. 1 - Taco Bell Live Mas Scholarship

Award Amount: $5,000, $10,000, or $25,000; giving away a total of $14 million
Criteria:

• Students age 16-26 pursuing higher education, preparing for the workforce, or using their passion to ignite change in their communities and beyond
• Two minute video telling what you are passionate about and how you plan to make a difference
• Application evaluated based on passion, impact, storytelling, and education goals (see website for details) 
• Resources for storytelling advice, finding your passion, and previous winning videos on website!

Jan. 1 - MIT Think Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 reimbursement for project
Criteria:

• Students must submit research project proposals 
• Students from under-resources high schools
• Scholarship provides mentorship and funding for their proposal up to $1,000
• Full time high school student at time of application
• Permanent U.S residency during 2024-2025 academic year
  • US citizenship NOT required
• Students can only submit one proposal per academic year 
• Proposals can be written by either an individual of a group of two students!

Jan. 5- GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship 

Award Amount: $10,000 Renewable scholarship, up to $40,000 total, all expenses paid Scholars Retreat in California, and support throughout leadership journeys in college and beyond.
Criteria:

• Demonstrate leadership through integrity, drive, and citizenship within their communities, schools, and workplaces
• Be a U.S citizen
• Current senior graduating in winter of 2024 or spring of 2025
• Plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the US for the entire 2025-2026 academic school year.

Jan. 15- MENSA Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500
Criteria:

• Must submit 550 word essay expressing academic and professional goals and how their experiences will help them to accomplish those goals 
• Must be planning on enrolling in accredited institution for the 2025-26 academic year

Jan. 21- Bezos Scholarship Program

Award Amount: Year-long, no-cost leadership development program
Criteria:

• Must be a high school Junior at the time of application 
• Must be from a public high school 
• Must be enrolled in one or more advanced courses during their high school career, such as AP, IB, and college level courses. 
• Must be a US citizen, nonpermanent legal status, or dependent of an H-1B visa holder.
• Must nominate an educator willing to serve as a mentor and participate in the program with them

February 2025

Feb. 1 - Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000-$19,000, average amount is $3,000-$5,000
Criteria:

• Applicant must identify as a woman
• Must be studying engineering or computer science full time at the collegiate level in the upcoming academic year or or are re-entry student
• Must be ib a program accredited by ABET, the India National board of Accreditation, or SWE Global Affiliate School of India.
• Must have a high school GPA above 3.5 or a University GPA above 3.0
• Must have letter of recommendation
• Must have an unofficial transcript of your most recent schooling. 

Three application types available; one application applies you for all three!

Feb 1 -  Veterans and Military Family Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000
Criteria: 

• Hard working US student 
• Active duty service member, a veteran, spouse or child of active duty or retired service member
• High school students or graduates, and undergraduate and college graduates may apply. 
• Accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited US junior college, college, university, or graduate school
• Must agree to terms and conditions of scholarship
• Proof of military service will be asked for ONLY from the winner
• Submit a 500-1,000 word essay on one of the topics provided 
• How has being in the military affected your ability to pursue an education? 
• What do you wish the American people better understood about the military service or military families?
• When you reflect on you/your family member’s military service, what are you most proud of and what are you most grateful for?

May 1 - NEACAC Annual Essay Contest

Award Amount: $2,000 overall winner, and $1,000 per New England state
Criteria:

• High school juniors and seniors from NACAC-member high schools in New Hampshire, ME, MA, RI, VT
• Must submit 500 word essay 
  • Describe trusted mentor (counselor, teacher, coach, or peer) who has had the greatest impact on you decision to attend college
  • How has this individual supported your education goals?
  • Please reflect on their influence/effect on your college process. 

Feb 3-   Elks Legacy Award

Award Amount: $4,000
Criteria:

• Must be a child or grandchild/ step-child or step-grandchild of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2022 or a member of a charter Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2022.
• Must be a high school senior 
• If parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must selest parents only on application. 
• If selected, winner must perform three instances of service with an Elks Lodge

Feb. 12 - Military Children Scholarship (Opens Dec. 13th)

Award Amount:  $2,000
Criteria:

• Must be unmarried military dependent children 23 years old or younger
• Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full time undergraduate program leading to a bachelor’s degree or a community/junior college designed to allow for  a direct transfer into a four-year college.
• High school applicants must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA on 4.0 scale 
• College applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA 
• Submit 500 word essay
• Academic achievement 
• Participation in school, community, and volunteer activities

Feb. 14 - Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarship

Award Amount: see website for more information 
Criteria:

•  Must be a high school senior attending school and living in a Simon community, planning to graduate by Spring 2025.
• US resident 
• Plan to enroll in an accredited two or four- year college, university, vocational, or trade school full-time in Fall 2025 semester 
• Demonstrate academic promise and financial need
• High school transcript

Feb 28- Order Sons of Italy in America

Award Amount: $5,000-$25,000
Criteria:

• Must be individuals of Italian descent
• Enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program, graduate program, or a professional school at an accredited academic institution for the Fall 2025 term
• U.S citizens and green card holders 
• At least one Italian or Italian American grandparent 
• $35 application fee
• Transcripts through Dec. 2024
• 2 letters of recommendation 
• Official test scores from all standardized tests taken in the past 5 years.

Feb. 28 - NH Water Pollution Control Assoc. Student Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Criteria:

High school students 

• Be a resident of New Hampshire 
• Be  a graduating senior 
• a standard application form and submit it to the NHWPCA Scholarship Committee 
• Include an essay 
• Include a letter of reference, preferably in the environmental field
• Be preparing for a field directly related to the water environment through a post-secondary school or vocational program 

College students 

• Must be enrolled in a New Hampshire college, university, or vocational school
• Complete a standard application form and submit it to the NHWPCA Scholarship Committee 
• Include an essay 
• Include a letter of reference, preferably in the environmental field
• Provide verification of enrollment to the institution with a major in an environmental field

March 2025

March 1- NEACRAO George Coleman Scholarship

Award Amount:$2,000
Criteria:

• Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a NEACRAO member institution (most schools around here)
• High school senior
• Strong academic performance
• Record of perseverance
• Compelling personal story or unique achievement

March 3 - Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship

Award Amount:  $10,000
Criteria:

• Submit original artwork or photo for the front of a greeting card
• Must be 14 years old or older 
• Must be enrolled in high school, college/university, or homeschool 

March 6 - Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship

Award Amount:$6,000 
Criteria:

• High school senior 
• Minimum 3.0 GPA 
• Proven to put the spirit of competition above winning while participating in a varsity sport 
• Community Service is required 
• Must write an essay explaining why they are a good sport on and off the field.

March 8 - Northeast Credit Union Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000-$5,000
Criteria:

• Must be graduating high school senior or current college student including vocational/trade, and community college 
• Must be a current Northeast Credit Union member and have been for at least a year prior to applying 

Applicant must submit: 

• Two letters of recommendation
• College acceptance letter 
• Transcript

March 10 - NHHEAF Destination College Speech Contest

Award Amount: up to $5,000
Criteria:

• Must be a high school senior planning on going to college 
• Must be attending a public or private school in NH or be homeschooled and reside in NH.
• Applicants must upload a video of yourself performing your speech. 
  • Speech is 3-5 minutes long
  • Must be uploaded to YouTube and a link must be provided with entry. 
  • Speech must be about college planning and application experience
    • Judges are looking for inspirational and informative stories (see link for more details)

March 15 - NH Food Industries Education Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000
Criteria:

• High school senior , college freshman, college sophomore, or college junior seeking an undergraduate degree 

Must be one of the following: 

• Must have been employed or at least six month by a NH Grocers Association member company as of Jan 1, 2025
• A dependent child or spouse of a full-time, permanent employee who has been employed by a NHGA member company for at least one year. 
• An NHGA member company must still employ the applicant or parent/spouse of the applicant at the time the winners are selected. 
• Full-time status of at the institution recipient is planning on attending during the school year (12 credit hours per semester)
• Recipients must continue in school for the entire academic year.

March 26 - It's My Heart NE Congenital Heart Defects Awareness Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,500
Criteria:

• Must be diagnosed with Congenital Heart Defect 
• Recipient of heart transplant 
• Be a family member of a person diagnosed with CHD
• Must live in New England 
• Must be a senior in high school or enrolled in college with a 2.5 GPA or higher 
• Be accepted full-time or part-time at an accredited 2 or 4-year college, university, or technical school in the US. 

Applicant must submit:

• Letter of recommendation 
• An essay 1-2 pages describing how living with CHD or having a family member with CHD has affected your life and how you live out the mission of It’s My Heart New England by educating, advocating for, or spreading CHD awareness.

March 30- Horatio Alger Career and Tech Scholarships

Award Amount: $2,500

Criteria:

• Have completed high school by July 1
• Plant to attend a not-for-profit post-secondary institution by September
• Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete an associates degree, certificate, or diploma program that will lead to employment
• Not be enrolled in pre-requisite courses
• Demonstrate financial need
  • $65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income OR pell grant eligibility
• Be under the age of 35
• Be a U.S citizen

March 31 - Walter and Pauline Calderwood Foundation

Award Amount:
Criteria:

• Strafford or carroll county, NH high school senior
• Current high school GPA and class rigor (minimum GPA of 3.0) 
• Extracurricular activities 
• Character and integrity 
• Financial need
• Plan to attend a four-year college or university

April 2025

April 1 - Univ. of Southern Maine "Mountains to the Sea" Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000-4,000
Criteria:

• Students must meet admissions criteria and be residents of NH or VT. 
• Must apply for financial aid and attend school full time 
• Students must enroll at USM full time in 12 credits per fall and spring semesters

May 1 - Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund/Early Application by 12 noon

Award Amount: varied amounts
Criteria:

• Must be be committed to a college or university for the 2025-26 school year and have received financial aid package from that college 
• Must upload own college nad high school transcripts 
• Enter contact information for at least one recommender

April 5- Unitil Scholarship

Criteria:

• High school seniors who demonstrate outstanding potential for careers in STEM
• Students majoring in STEM fields of study
• Must provide transcript, letter of recommendation, essay addressing career objectives, why they are applying for the scholarship and why they deserve the scholarship.

April 5 - Student Access Scholarship

Award Amount: $500
Criteria:

Must be a student in a TRIO program

• Based on need and overcoming adversity with no consideration of GPA 
• Must be nominated by sponsoring TRIO staff member

April 11 - NH Charitable Foundation 

Award Amount: varied amount
Criteria: 

• Applicant must fill out one or more essay questions 
• Submit names and emails of people who will submit their letters of recommendations 
• Transcripts of school from the last five years 
• Completed FAFSA application

April 15 - Student SAGE Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 grant
Criteria:

• Must be nominated by counselors, teachers, or school leader
• Must be planning to be enrolled at Russell Sage college

April 19 - NH Association of Broadcasters Scholarship

Award Amount: $500 

Criteria:

• Students who will attend and post-secondary institution
• Must be a child of a full-time station employee

April 30 - ASCE NH High School Scholarships

Award Amount: $1,000

Criteria:

• Must be a current senior at a NH high school
• Must have been accepted by a four-year engineering program 
• Must write a two page max essay on the ASCE-NH scholarship topic

April 23 - Student-View Scholarship Program

Award Amount:$500-$10,000

Criteria:

• Must be graduating high school senior 
• Must reside in U.S
• Must complete application survey
• No GPA requirement

April 30 - FisherCats Foundation Scholar-Athlete Scholarship 

Award Amount: $1,500

Criteria:

• Statement of commitment from school counselor 
  • Must provide class rank information
• To references (coaches, teachers, employers)
• 2-3 minute video with response to “How has participation in high school athletics shaped your life?”
• Must be planning on attending college in fall of 2025

Award Amount: $1,000
Criteria:

• Volunteer projects that excel at significantly contributing to the improvement of environmental quality through protection, conservation, restoration, communication and/or stewardship of natural resources
• Demonstrate high achievement level
• Creating sustainable or reproducible results

May 13 - WiseChoice Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500
Criteria:

• Must be legal resident of U.s 
• Must be 13 years of age or older
• Must graduate high school 
• Must answer the question “do you think the “college fit matters” in the college selection process?”

May 15- Hope Starts Here Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500
Criteria:

• Applicant must be under the age of 21 prior to the due date 
• Residing in NH at time of application
• Actively pursuing post secondary education

May 15 - Nursing Scholarships

Award Amount: varied amounts
Criteria:

• This resource allows you to fill in the type of degree program in whichever location you choose and allows you to select certain eligibility requirements that best suits you!

Award Amount: $2,222
Criteria:

• Must be resident of any of the 50 U.S states 
• Must be 16 years of age or older 
• Must be enrolled in college/university or registered in a qualified high school

June 1- Knight Essay Scholarship

Award Amount: $500-$6,000
Criteria:

• Must be U.S citizen or legal resident attending public, home school, private, or parochial school.
• Must write 800-1,200 word essay based on an event, person philosophy, or ideal associated  with the American Revolution, Declaration of Independence, of the framing of the US Constitution

June 10- Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Criteria:

• Must be a high school senior OR junior OR registered in an accredited post secondary institution
• Must write 500-1000 word essay on the topic “Describe your educational career and life goals. Explain your plan for achieving these goals. Include your degree/major, why you selected it, and how this degree/major will help you achieve your goals.”

June 17 - Anthony Ramano and Vernon Kelley Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $500-$1,500

Criteria:

• Residents of NH who are graduating seniors of adults returning to education
• Must be interested in attending college or university in any state 
• Must have been residents of an assisted housing program un NH for at least 12 month prior to applying
• Recipients can reapply for an additional year of funding

June 19- Big Sun Scholarship

Award Amount:$500 

Criteria:

• Student athletes regardless of the sport they play
• Must be high school senior or be attending post secondary institute
• Must submit short essay answering the following 
  • How did participation in sports during your high school years influence you? 
  • How has participation influenced your career goals?
